Our school has a very rich didactic equipment that allows to use the most modern methods of teaching, which cannot do without the use of multimedia tools used in almost all subjects.

Almost each subject has its specialized laboratory equipped to provide the teaching.

Let us name the specialized classroom for Chemistry, two Physics laboratories, two Biology ones, classrooms for Geography, History, Social Studies, Czech, Music, etc.

Laboratory works are carried out in the Physics laboratories and completely new Chemistry and Biology laboratories.

Each class is taught the certain subjects in the specialized classrooms at least once a week.

Teaching of Art takes place in two special classrooms equipped with a ceramics kiln and a pottery wheel. Foreign languages are taught in five language classrooms. These are gradually being equipped with modern data projection and video projection so the lessons can be taught through the medium of computers using different programs and the Internet, and of course CD and DVD players.

COMPUTER NETWORK

With its range and functions it is definitely the most advanced teaching and information technology facilities of the school. At the national level it belongs to the best.

All PCs are networked, the network is connected to the Internet with a capacity 1Mbs line. Access to the Internet for the students is free at any time the school is open in both classrooms and via Wi-Fi connection. Through the Intranet (internal computer network), the students and teachers are informed about current events and changes in the life of the school.

Each network client (800 clients) has been assigned their disk capacity. To all the network, users have free access both inside and outside the school and they can work from disks on school servers and freely manage both their mail and, according to their authorization, all of the data available.

You can be informed about the school life not only on the website www.gjs.cz but also on the pages of particular subjects (Physics, Biology, History, Chemistry, English, German, Math, etc.).

Other school facilities include a students´cafeteria, gymnasium, fitness centre, outdoor sports ground.
